5 Reasons to Exhibit
The North American Handmade Bicycle Show is the world’s premier showcase for the artistry and craftsmanship of custom bikes. If you’re thinking about exhibiting at our 2010 show in Richmond, here 5 things to consider.
Also – don’t forget that registration fees increase after November 13 – email Don to register today!
1. NAHBS STAYS TRUE
NAHBS isn’t an industry trade show or a “health & wellness” expo. We’re not pursuing the corporate side of the bike industry or any companies that aren’t directly linked to the culture of handmade bicycles.
NAHBS’ sole mission is to promote the craft and community of frame building by bringing together the world’s finest builders under one roof. By exhibiting at NAHBS, you support the show that supports the independent builder.
2. NAHBS EXPANDS YOUR REACH
As a small builder, it can be hard to reach potential customers outside your local area. If you travel to exhibit at NAHBS, your bikes will be seen in person by nearly 10,000 new people who are there specifically to meet builders like you.
During and after the show, millions of potential customers around the world will see your work in media coverage and on the web. There’s no other way to get the viral marketing that you get at NAHBS.
3. NAHBS PROMOTES YOU
The exhibitor profiles and bike gallery on the new NAHBS website are just the beginning of our efforts to actively promote our exhibitors. The website will also include links to and content from exhibitors’ social media profiles and other opportunities to interact with potential customers.
At NAHBS, the media are there to cover the best and most innovative builders, period. Unlike at other shows, getting attention at NAHBS has nothing to do with how much you spend on PR and advertising.
4. NAHBS IS A FIRST-CLASS EVENT
We strive to meet a higher standard. That includes key staff working year-round to promote and organize the show, and Don personally scouts locations around the country to find the best possible exhibit hall for next year.
During the show, NAHBS has 12 on-site staff to keep things running smoothly. There’s no other show that works as hard for exhibitors, attendees, and the media.
5. NAHBS IS A GREAT VALUE
There’s simply no other way for an independent frame builder to receive the combination of high-quality foot traffic, media coverage, and online buzz that you get at NAHBS – at any price. But here’s how NAHBS compares*.
It cost $2070 to be stuck in the back of the hall at Interbike this year. You’ll pay $1400 to hang out with 16-year-old downhillers at Sea Otter next year. A single 1/8-page ad in VeloNews will run you $1,055. NAHBS is less expensive than any of them.
Once again – registration fees increase after November 13 – email Don for more information and to reserve your spot!
*: Comparison is based on publicly available rates as of 9/16/09 for one 10’x10’ booth at Interbike in 2009 (PDF) and Sea Otter in 2010. VeloNews rate from Competitor.
